Services
PLEASE NOTE: As this is a student-led clinic for learning and teaching purposes we will not be able to see all conditions, your booking will not be confirmed until a triage screening has taken place. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Ergonomics (workplace assessment)
Over the past 2 years we have all been working at cramped, uncomfortable desk spaces that aren’t necessarily very good for our posture or muscle health. Have you noticed that you are getting pain around your neck, shoulders or back that is made worse when working from home or sitting at your desk? We can provide a workplace assessment service and advise on different strategies to help your posture and potential pain that may be a result of this!
Physiotherapy Assessment and Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy is a service that aims to prevent injury and illness, restore function and maintain physical health. We will provide a high quality physiotherapeutic assessment which will then guide our holistic rehabilitation plan that we will build with you, for you.
Return to Sport
Injuries are never in the plan when training and playing! We understand how much they can hinder development within your sport. We can provide a structured pathway with appropriate assessment, treatment and a rehabilitation programme to assist you in your return to sport.
Injury Prevention
Sometimes injuries cannot be prevented, but some can! The way you move: run, cycle or jump could put you at a higher risk of obtaining an injury. We can provide movement assessment with education and rehabilitation to help improve how you move and therefore reduce your risk of injury when playing the sport you love!
Advice and Education
Sometimes you may not need physical treatment what would be better for your situation is some advice or education sessions that help you to understand your condition better, understand the way you move and how it is affecting you, talk through different strategies to improve your physical health or general health and fitness information.
Physio-led classes
Classes are a great way to exercise in a supervised environment and meet other people with similar conditions to you! It can be a really nice way to return to exercising and it is a safe space for you to come and do as much or as little as you can. These classes are still ‘under construction’ but will be advertised here as soon as they are up and running! We will be starting off with some cardiac and pulmonary rehab classes which were a great success last summer at the university – have a look at some of the testimonials on the home page from patients that came to the classes.
